PLN #6
I belive that technoligy is changing for the better and now people make complicated thing simple by the click of a mouse or dailing a phone. I recently read "I went flat last night" and it spoke about a man named David Warlick and how he just had to go down to his office and get on the computer and have a online conference. This relates to me becuase i have down this before. I talked to my uncle in CA from my old house in NY via net cams. I was looking at him on my computer screen and it was really cool. This relates to the classroom becuase my english class uses high tech things like Podcasting and lap tops. We use lap tops everyday and at first it was hard especially becuase the first week of school the Hw was on the computer at home and i didnt have mine it was still in NY. But using these lap tops will help us out in the future for sure. Maybe we will net cam with other students around the world. I would enjoy that and im sure the other students would think its cool to see how other kids posibly in Japan or even acrosse the state somewhere learn. This relates to the world becuase im sure other people besides us use lap tops in class. Maybe othe schools even have the web cams already set up in their class rooms and are already useing them as i type.

PLN #5
I belive that rewarding someone for doing a good thing is great, for getting good grades, or maybe reaching one of your goals. In the blog " Is payment for good grades legitimant motivation for this day and age" and it talked about giving children money for doing well in school. This will motivate the kids and make them want to do well but what happens if they just try to do good for the money and not themsleves. Maybe the parents or guardian of the child should pay him for his first good grade and then tell him/her that they will not be paying them for the next. If they do good on that one they arent in it for the money they are in it for themselves. I agree with the whole getting paid for money thing and I think I might try that in my house. It will motivate me to learn and then when I do good I'll get rewared. This relates to the classroom in a bunch of ways. One is that i will or anyone who is getting paid to do well will pay attention more if they didnt in the past. I know I would. Also kids would probebly study a lot more so they get paid. This relates to the world becuase im sure this doesnt happen just in the U.S. In other countries this getting paid for Hw probebly happens and the effects on the students are most likely the same. Most kids think and act in the same way.
"While money (or even the promise of acceptance into a 'good college') may offer
a short-term incentive and even be fair game in some settings, I wonder if we
would be better served to invest our energies and finances in re-imagining the
original value proposition that engendered school to society in the first
place."

Tech Age in U.S
I just read one of the many Jeff Utech's blogs and i found it very interesting. It talked about hot the U.S is becoming more technical and almost more furturistic. With the self check out at the store. Or going on websites to upload pictures. That reminds me of the Credit card commercails and how fast buying things are these days. Or how i could order Dominos pizza online if i wanted to. This relates to me becuase i have orded Dominos online and i agree with Jeff that everying is becomong more tech in the U.S. In my english class we use lap tops and that is very high tech. In NY at my old school we even had Mac computers with itunes and music mixers. Using lap tops in class is good for us and gets us ready for when we are older and get jobs and have to work on the computer. This relates to the world becuase soon everyone will be in the tech age. People will be buying food online more becuase they already even have that. Schools wont have books, maybe just laptops.

Denver post: Car crashing into a store
I think that the store owner was very lucky not to be near the window went this happen or else it could have been way worse. Also they were lucky it wasnt lunch time becuase other people might have gotten injured or even killed. The denver post should have told the readers why the women in the acura crashed into the store. Saying she was out of control is very vage. It was a good idea for the store owner to get the women out of the car becuase she needed to be rushed to the hospital. Everyone is lucky only two people were hurt.

Seminar:Nata village.
I agree with this seminar and i think that killing animals for game and not for food is wrong. You shouldnt just kill a living animal or a living anything for fun. If you do you should be fined a great some of money. Womens rights are also a good thing to talk about becuase even today people dont give women enough credit. They do a lot of very hard things around the house and then they also could have a job. Teaching these people is a great idea and i think that this seminar should take place in other parts of the world to educate others in these affairs
Hsu: Denver Post.
"Hsu's attorney, argued that Hautzinger's figure was excessive and that his client's illness made him incapable of traveling far. Eliff did not elaborate on the illness. "
If the attorney didnt say what his illness was then he should travel. They should just leave him in jail for life and no bail should be made. he should also give back all the money and pay the sum of money that the judge makes him.
